うさぎのモチーフ/Rabbit motif

小学2年生から大学3年10月まで、私の実家にはうさぎがいました。

一番多いときには12匹のうさぎが一緒に暮らしていました。

私が小学2年生の時に、親に頼んでうさぎをもらって来てもらったのが始まりです。

人づてに茨城県から私の家にやってきたのは１匹の青い目をしたパンダウサギでした。

群の中でうさぎは厳しい順位づけをします。

私の所にやってきた彼は茨城の生家でいじめられていたうさぎでした。

ともかく彼（含むうさぎたち）を水彩で描いたりスケッチをしたり、絵本を作ったり写真を撮ったり、版画に石膏とモチーフには事欠きませんでした。

本物のうさぎもうさぎのキャラクターも大好きです。

ピーターラビットやミッフィーの小物を集めていた時期もあります。

和柄のうさぎも好きでハンカチや布も集めていました。

特にうさぎの背中からおしりへ続くつるっとした丸っこいラインが、とても可愛いと思っています。

犬も猫も何かを伝えるために鳴く事が出来ます。

でもうさぎは一般的には鳴きません。

表情と言っていいかは分かりませんが鳴かないので表情も無表情です。

猫のようにしなやかに擦り寄ることも犬のように喜んで尻尾を振ることもしません。

では、うさぎが何も感じていないかと言えばそれは嘘になります。

それぞれ個性がちゃんとあって、不機嫌な表情も心地よい表情も本当はちゃんとあるのです。私はうさぎの、そういう所が好きなのです。

From the 2nd grade of elementary school to October of the 3rd year of university, my family had rabbits. 

 At the peak, 12 rabbits lived together. When I was in the second grade of elementary school, I asked my parents to bring me a rabbit.

 It was a panda rabbit with blue eyes that came to my house from Ibaraki prefecture. Within the herd, rabbits are strictly ranked. The rabbit that came to me was bullied at home.

 Anyway, I drew him (including rabbits) in watercolor, sketched him, made a picture book, took pictures, and there was no shortage of motifs.

 I love real rabbits and rabbit characters. There was a time when I was collecting Peter Rabbit and Miffy accessories. I also liked rabbits with Japanese patterns and collected handkerchiefs and cloth. In particular, I think the smooth, round line that extends from the rabbit's back to its buttocks is very cute. 

 Both dogs and cats can bark to communicate. But rabbits generally don't bark. I don't know if I can call it an expression, but it doesn't cry, so it's expressionless. They don't snuggle like a cat or wag their tail happily like a dog.

 Well, it would be a lie if I said that the rabbit doesn't feel anything. Each of them has their own individuality, and they actually have both a sullen expression and a pleasant expression. That's what I like about rabbits.
