「円環」/Möbius strip

｢円環｣というこの作品は萩原朔太郎の｢死なない蛸｣という詩から着想を得ています。(青空文庫などで読めます。)

自分で自分を食べざるを得なかった蛸、永遠になった蛸はどのような気持ちでいたのでしょうか。

穴だけ残してドーナツを食べる話のように、メビウスの輪のような終わりのない思考の輪は私を捕らえて離しません。

This piece, "Möbius Strip," was inspired by Sakutaro Hagiwara's poem "The Immortal Octopus." (You can read it at Aozora Bunko, among other places.)

I wonder how the octopus, forced to eat itself, the octopus that became immortal, felt.

Like the story of eating a donut leaving only the hole, the endless loop of thoughts like a Möbius strip has gripped me and won't let go.
